Express Your Inner Creator With Our Workshops
#MonsterArts for Youth
Started in 2013, #MonsterArts for Youth provides children of all backgrounds in schools hands-on workshops in Bollywood and Bhangra dance, Hindi music, ghazal writing, mandala-making, filmmaking and more, led by professional artists, to break cultural silos and fill gaps in culturally relevant curriculum. South Asian students see themselves reflected in the curriculum, while non-South Asian students are invited to experience and understand the culture.
#MonsterArts for Youth is supported by the Peel District School Board and York Region District School board, with workshops available virtually and in-person to all public, Catholic and private schools across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area at a subsidized rate.
#MonsterArts for Seniors
Started in 2018, #MonsterArts for Seniors engages seniors via professionally-led arts workshops in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Tamil and more to reduce feelings of isolation. Seniors reconnect to South Asian culture through workshops in Bollywood dance, Hindi and Tamil music, poetry and visual arts. This program fills gaps in cultural and language-specific services for seniors in the community and enables them to connect with friends old and new. Workshops are available virtually & in-person across the GTHA at no cost to seniors and are adapted for participants of all ability levels.
#MonsterArts for Wellness
Started in 2021, #MonsterArts for Wellness brings South Asian arts to thousands of people across diverse communities. Promote team building, mental wellness and diversity within your organization through our professionally-led Bollywood dance workshops.
