About #MonsterArts for Survivors
Started in 2020, #MonsterArts for Survivors provides diverse women in shelters with professionally-led South Asian art workshops as a vehicle for self-expression and building supportive networks through a collaborative creation process, using cultural arts like ghazal, poetry, mandala, and various dance forms like Bhangra, Bollywood, and yoga-dance fusions.
The 2020 #MonsterArts for Survivors workshops were available through and hosted by Interval House of Hamilton who continues to run various programs for women.
